Grainger VIP Impact Report

GEDIL’s reach extends beyond campus. We partnered with Wolf Sub-Zero for a prototyping workshop and hosted an inspiring talk by MIT’s Professor Dan Frey. Our Makerspace buzzes with student-led workshops teaching skills from 3-D printing to sewing, plus specialized workshops embedded in first-year engineering courses. We helped more than 2,500 users 3D print their projects this year. The fall “Makeathon,” in collaboration with the Global Health Institute, challenged attendees to design solutions for climate change impacts, even attracting sponsors like Sony and Hackster.io.
