CONTINUING CORE UNDERGRADUATE LEARNING CENTER PROGRAMS PrEPS (Practicing Engineering Problem Solving) PrEPS workshops provide students with a strong foundation of key concepts and problem-solving techniques practiced in a supportive group environment. PrEPS groups meet twice a week throughout the semester. Courses supported are: • EMA 201 (Statics) • EMA 202 (Dynamics) • Math 222 (Calculus II — new for the spring semester) • Physics 201 • Physics 202 Drop-In Tutoring We saw a 3 percent decrease in usage in the fall semester compared to fall 2022. We do not have accurate check in data for the spring semester because the scanner malfunctioned, and it took two weeks to troubleshoot and replace. Estimating based on current data, we’ve had around 5,050 student visits this year. There have been 807 students who have visited the drop-in tutoring this year, 64 percent have visited more than once, and 30 percent have visited more than five times. Engineering mechanics and aerospace and mechanical engineering courses continue to be our most in-demand courses. Math, chemistry, computer science, physics, and electrical and computer engineering are also well utilized.
