some of the best people at my on-campus jobs. I am proud to be a part of the Madison community and pay this scholarship forward. Rath scholarships are so very important to Madison students because they allow us to explore freely and use this exploration to find ourselves without barriers. The relief of student debt has had effects greater than I could have ever imagined. It has extended to the way my family members are able to live their lives, and the opportunities that I am able to take advantage of at the UW. Because of this scholarship, I have been able to study abroad in Granada, Spain, and make my dream of becoming fully fluent in Spanish a reality. I am also studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, in fall 2023 thanks to the generosity of the Rath. Without this scholarship, these trips would not be possible, and I am so grateful for the experiences and global learning that I am able to do because of it.

I never expected Madison to become my home as much as the house where I grew up. My gratitude is immeasurable. I am proud to be a Badger and will carry Forward! as a motto with me for as long as I live.
