The Rath Foundation - An Enduring Legacy at UW-Madison
It may sound cliche, but the most memorable part of my UW experience has been the relationships that I have formed. From faculty to students, the UW community is incredible, and I am so grateful to be a part of it. The Rath scholarship helped to shape my student experience by taking a major stress off my shoulders and by providing me incredible resources to succeed. I was able to focus on myself, on my academics, and on forming meaningful relationships with people throughout the UW–Madison community — all while having the financial burden of tuition and other costs be nonexistent for me. Attending UW–Madison has truly changed my life and allowed me to achieve things I never thought possible. Through the educational experiences I had and the connections I made during my freshman year, I was able to get hired as an intern in a congressional office this summer as a constituent service intern. This internship has been life changing for me and would not have been possible without the Rath Foundation and UW–Madison. Helping to provide impactful, meaningful services to constituents throughout Wisconsin has been a powerful experience and has shaped my future career aspirations. Thank you for truly changing my life. I would not have been able to attend UW–Madison if it wasn't for this scholarship. Words cannot express the impact that this has had on me and the amount of gratitude that I have. Thank you.
