The Rath Foundation - An Enduring Legacy at UW-Madison
Dear Rath Foundation Trustees,
The Rath Foundation’s generosity has had an enormous positive impact on UW Law School and the lives of our students. The Frank J. Pelisek Law Scholarship was created in 1998. Over the past 25 years, 95 scholarships have been awarded to law students who exhibit exemplary merit. These scholarships allow us to attract an outstanding group of aspiring lawyers and give them experience working closely with faculty on areas of special interest, while keeping their debt at manageable levels so that they can pursue their careers of choice. The Law School’s mission is “to educate a diverse group of exceptional lawyers and leaders through our Law in Action approach to teaching …” The support provided by the Rath Foundation allows us to do just that. As the only public law school in Wisconsin, we have a special responsibility to provide access to the legal profession. The Rath Foundation’s ongoing support helps us ensure that the outstanding legal education we offer is accessible to all who have the capacity to excel as lawyers and leaders. We are very grateful for your support, and would like to especially express gratitude to Kate Fleming for her partnership, trust and ongoing support. I am committed to being a good steward of resources now so that future generations of law students have access to the great opportunities that UW Law offers. Thank you for your steadfast support.
Sincerely,
Daniel Tokaji Fred W. and Vi Miller Professor of Law Dean of the Law School
