The Rath Foundation - An Enduring Legacy at UW-Madison
Double majoring in both finance and operations, with a supply chain certificate. Without the Rath scholarship, I would only have been able to choose one major in order to graduate as fast as possible Serving as president of the Wisconsin Consulting Club, which directly tied to my career goals. Without the Rath scholarship, I would have needed to put any extra hours in my day toward a job over extracurriculars My time at the UW was very special thanks to the Rath Foundation. Receiving this scholarship allowed me to spend my four years at the UW diving into academic, extracurricular, and career interests without worrying about the long-term financial burden. There are countless examples of what this looked like, and I want to share a couple: This impact has spilled into my postgrad life as well. After graduation, I started my dream role with the Boston Consulting Group. The Rath scholarship played a significant role in landing this job thanks to the depth of academic and extracurricular pursuits on my résumé. I’m still working for the Boston Consulting Group and love giving back to Badger causes whenever I can — both in time and through financial gifts. I often engage with student orgs on campus to speak about life in consulting. I’ve also been inspired to pay it forward to the areas on campus that meant the most to me, like the libraries and the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management.
